UpsellPlusUpsellPlus Review (2026)Upsells Everywhere on Shopify, Capped by Revenue Tier

Growth & RevenueResearched assessment · by Daniel HaketUpdated 2026-08-31

The plans are capped by the revenue they are allowed to earn you, and the first paid step does not raise that cap: Free and the $49 Launch plan both stop at $500 of upsell revenue a month.

Best for: shopify merchants who want one app covering product page, cart, checkout, post-purchase, customer accounts and POS offers rather than three, especially Shopify Plus stores, where the checkout half of the product actually unlocks.

Entry price per month, USD. Our own dated readings of 18 growth & revenue tools — not a market survey, and cheapest is not best.

Four tiers, billed in USD, with a 14-day free trial on the paid ones. Free runs one offer, opens all twelve upsell types plus analytics, and allows up to $500 in upsell revenue. Launch is $49 a month or $500 a year (the listing says that saves 15%) and also allows up to $500 of app-generated revenue a month, adding cart, pop-up and drawer upsells, product page and post-purchase upsells, multivariate A/B testing, progress bars and free gifts.

The Shopify Plus tier is $119 a month or $1,149 a year (save 20%), raises the ceiling to $2,000 a month and adds checkout customization, checkout upsells, thank-you page customization and AI recommendations. Scale is $199 a month or $1,899 a year (save 20%) for up to $5,000 of upsell revenue a month, live support and multivariate A/B testing. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.

What the pricing page doesn’t say

The catch

The $49 buys offers and features, not headroom — headroom starts at $119. The listing also never says what happens when a store passes Scale's $5,000 ceiling, which is precisely the moment the app is working, so ask before you build a checkout flow around it. And read the feature list closely: checkout upsells are marked Plus-only, meaning your store has to be on Shopify Plus, so on a standard Shopify plan the checkout half of an app called Checkout Upsell is not what you are buying.

What UpsellPlus does

Upsells, cross-sells and free gifts across Shopify product pages, cart, checkout, post-purchase, customer accounts and POS, with AI recommendations and A/B testing in 23 storefront languages. Free plan runs one offer; Launch is $49/month, the Shopify Plus tier $119 and Scale $199 — each capped by how much upsell revenue it may generate ($500, $2,000 and $5,000 a month).

What the money actually buys

The ladder is priced by how much revenue the app is allowed to generate for you: $500 a month on Free and on Launch at $49, $2,000 on the $119 tier, $5,000 on Scale at $199. Read that column before the feature lists, because the ceilings differ far more than the features do. What $49 adds over free is offers and tooling — cart, pop-up and drawer upsells, product page and post-purchase offers, multivariate A/B testing, progress bars and free gifts, with a 14-day trial.

What $119 adds is the checkout: checkout customization, checkout upsells, thank-you page customization and AI recommendations, plus four times the revenue ceiling. Scale at $199 adds live support and a $5,000 ceiling. Annual billing takes 15% off Launch ($500 a year) and 20% off the two upper tiers ($1,149 and $1,899). What the listing does not say is what happens when you outgrow $5,000 a month — worth asking in writing before you build a checkout flow on top of it.

How to actually use UpsellPlus

Start on the free plan and treat it as a real trial rather than a demo: it runs one offer, opens all twelve upsell types and the analytics, and allows up to $500 of upsell revenue. That is enough to learn whether your customers take an offer at all, and where they take it — product page, cart drawer, post-purchase or thank-you page. Before you pay, check two things about your own store.

First, are you on Shopify Plus? The listing marks checkout upsells as Plus-only, and they are the reason most people look at an app with Checkout Upsell in its name. Second, how much upsell revenue do you expect in a month? The Launch plan at $49 carries the same $500 ceiling as the free plan, so the tier that actually buys you headroom is $119 or $199, not $49. Work out that number first and the choice of plan makes itself. Read on apps.shopify.com/upsellpluscheckout, 31 August 2026.

What it costs
The Shopify Plus tier is $119 a month or $1,149 a year (save 20%), raises the ceiling to $2,000 a month and adds checkout customization, checkout upsells, thank-you page customization and AI recommendations.
The catch
The plans are capped by the revenue they are allowed to earn you, and the first paid step does not raise that cap: Free and the $49 Launch plan both stop at $500 of upsell revenue a month.
Best for
shopify merchants who want one app covering product page, cart, checkout, post-purchase, customer accounts and POS offers rather than three, especially Shopify Plus stores, where the checkout half of the product actually unlocks
AfterSell →
What it costs
Tiered by monthly order volume, from about $9.99/mo up through mid tiers (roughly $34.99-$79.99) for growing stores and into higher Plus tiers (2026).
The catch
Post-purchase upsells only move the needle with steady order volume and a sensible complementary-offer strategy — bolt it onto a store with little traffic and there's nothing to upsell.
Best for
Shopify stores with steady order volume that want to lift average order value with one-click post-purchase and checkout upsells

Both names above are affiliate links: we may earn a commission if you sign up, at no extra cost to you. Neither changes what this table says: both columns come straight from the vendors’ own pricing pages.

The natural comparison is AfterSell — Both are Shopify upsell apps and both are strongest around the checkout. AfterSell is the tighter, better-known post-purchase and checkout play; UpsellPlus spreads wider — product page, cart drawer, checkout, post-purchase, customer accounts and Shopify POS in one app, with 23 storefront languages and integrations into Klaviyo, Recharge, Appstle, Skio and Smartrr. The catch is the revenue ceiling on each UpsellPlus tier, so compare on the plan you would actually need rather than on the entry price: free and $49 stop at the same $500 a month..

Frequently asked questions

What should I weigh before buying Growth & Revenue software?

It depends on whether you have the bottleneck it solves. Small teams get the most out of this category when one clear problem is already costing real hours or revenue; buying ahead of that just adds cost and another login. Price it against the hours or lost deals it removes, not against its feature list, and start on the smallest plan that covers the job.
