On 19 September the annual totals, the credit allowances, the Cloud balances and the 40% annual discount all re-read unchanged; the two monthly headline figures are drawn as an animated digit strip that carries no readable text, so those rest on the August reading and on the annual totals, which match them. Correction after re-checking: Re-checked 19 September 2026 in a browser, and one thing we published in Wegic's favour no longer holds: the money-back guarantee is gone. The pricing FAQ now states that payments for Wegic plans — the $2.99 trial pack, Starter, Premium and subscription renewals — are non-refundable, that AI credits are non-refundable and cannot be returned or exchanged for cash, and that credits spent on AI features count as consumed. What replaces the guarantee is a complaints window: Wegic asks you to raise a billing question at payment@wegic.ai within 7 days on a monthly plan or 14 days on an annual one, says an approved refund may be reduced for payment-processing fees, third-party costs and credits already used, and promises an answer within three business days. Both wegic.ai/refund-policy and wegic.ai/terms-of-service returned 404 on that date, and the help centre says only that partial refunds may be available in certain cases. Still standing from the 30 August re-check: 600 credits is rated at up to two simple sites or one complex one rather than the roughly 15 websites an older Wegic blog claimed, code export is a Starter feature and not Premium, and Premium's allowance is 2,000 credits a month. Every dollar figure we published held on both dates. Worth knowing if you check this yourself: Wegic prices by language route rather than by IP, so /nl/pricing shows the same numbers with a euro sign in front of them and no conversion, while the billing catalogue behind the page is denominated in USD throughout.

What Wegic does
AI website builder that generates and hosts sites from a conversation — credit-based, with custom domains and code export on higher tiers. Wegic's own help center documents images only by upload or external URL; the built-in image generation the vendor promotes, including a product-photo-to-product-page pass, is not in that documentation and we have not tested it. A one-click optimize pass audits a published site for SEO and site-health problems and applies the fixes itself — vendor-announced in July 2026, and not something we have tested.

Themes from the buyer-review sites listed at the foot of this page, read in August 2026. We have not run Wegic ourselves, so this is other buyers' experience rather than ours. We summarise it here because the complaints are usually the part a vendor page leaves out.

Starter is the real floor: $39.90/month, or $286.80/year ($23.90/month), for 600 credits a month, publishing to wegic.net and removal of Wegic branding. The pricing page rates 600 credits at up to two simple sites or one complex one — well under the roughly 15 websites Wegic's own blog once claimed for the same allowance.
Premium — $69.90/month, or $502.80/year ($41.90/month) — buys the thing most businesses need: a custom domain. Its allowance is 2,000 credits a month, which the pricing page now states outright — settling an old contradiction with a Wegic blog page that said unlimited. Two constraints to price in: Wegic's help centre says an upgrade "cannot be undone or downgraded", and as of 19 September 2026 there is no money-back guarantee left to fall back on — the pricing FAQ calls plans, renewals and the $2.99 trial pack non-refundable, and credits you have already spent are never restored.
How to actually use Wegic
Create an account at wegic.ai, open the Workspace and select [+Create Website]. Describe the site you want to Wegic's AI assistant, Kimmy, or upload a sketch — hand-drawn, photographed or digital — which it converts into a working site. The AI then produces a draft you refine with plain-language instructions such as "change the button color to blue" or "put About Us first". Budget for that: each AI-generated edit uses credits, and the amount varies with the size and complexity of the request.
Product Hunt reviewers report credits being consumed even when the AI does not make the change they asked for, so keep instructions specific. Publishing to a your-business-name.wegic.net address is a Starter feature, not a free one; a custom domain requires Premium and needs an A record plus a www CNAME, where DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours.

Can I build a site on the free credits?
No. Wegic gives a new account 100 credits at signup, and its own FAQ, read 19 September 2026, is explicit about what they are for: credits to chat with the AI and describe what you want, while website generation is a paid feature. The pack that turns that conversation into a site is $2.99, and the card for it carries Wegic's own warning that most generates end up costing over $10 in credits, with no edit credits included. So the free tier demonstrates the conversation, not the product. Read the paid allowances the same way: Wegic rates 600 credits a month (Starter) at up to two simple sites or one complex one, and 2,000 (Premium) at up to four or two. Editing draws on the same balance, so a site you keep iterating on is a site you pay for more than once.
Do unused credits carry over to next month?
They do not. Wegic's FAQ, read 19 September 2026: at the end of each monthly billing cycle all remaining credits are cleared, and a fresh allowance is issued when the plan renews. Put that beside the refund answer on the same page — plans, renewals and the $2.99 trial pack are non-refundable, credits cannot be exchanged for cash, and credits spent on AI features count as consumed — and the money is spend-it-or-lose-it in both directions. The practical move is to batch the work. A quiet month on Starter costs $39.90 for 600 credits that evaporate, so if the site is finished and you only touch it occasionally, compare that honestly against the $286.80 annual rate and against running no subscription at all between rounds of changes.
What happens to my site if I stop paying?
It does not vanish at once, but it does change. Wegic's FAQ, read 19 September 2026, lists four consequences when a subscription ends: published sites stay live for up to 7 more days, the Wegic badge reappears on them, you receive no further credits, and a site on your own custom domain is unpublished — to get it back you log in and republish on a Wegic address. The page is not consistent about which address that is: the plan cards promise a permanent .wegic.net domain for the life of the subscription, while the FAQ says to republish using a Wegic.app domain. Either way the custom domain is the first thing you lose, and it is only on Premium. If the site matters to the business, take the code export — a Starter feature — before that week runs out.
