Billing starts at signup, but you cannot send a text until US carriers approve your A2P registration, and that wait does not pause the bill.
US staffing agencies, real estate investors and home-services firms with a steady flow of opted-in leads who want an AI to text them back within minutes, qualify them and put calls on the calendar.
you are outside the US or cannot complete carrier (A2P) registration, your lists are bought or scraped, you need annual pricing or published overage rates, or you want proof of the learning feature before paying $597 a month.

A review account in SurFox's review sandbox, given to us by the founder. The sandbox says so on every page: leads, dashboards and results are sample data, messaging is switched off and the AI Learning page is a mock-up. Two things work for real there, the test conversation on a campaign and Surf, the campaign assistant. We played leads against a sample campaign for an analytics company over SMS on 3 October 2026, sent our findings to SurFox, and re-tested on 6 and 12 October 2026 after they shipped fixes. We did not send a real text, connect a CRM, take a voice call or see the learning feature work on real conversations.

Growth is $597 a month: 10,000 messages, 500 website chats, 400 voice minutes and 5 users, plus conversation learning from the last 100 conversations, A/B testing, Zapier and a Chrome extension for lead capture. Growth Plus is $1,497 a month: 25,000 messages, 2,000 chats, 1,000 voice minutes, 15 users, learning from the last 1,000 conversations, multiple personas, unlimited knowledge-base uploads, white-glove onboarding and a dedicated success manager.
Read on 15 October 2026: Starter $49 a month for 1,000 SMS messages, 100 website chats and 20 voice minutes; Growth $597 for 10,000 messages and conversation learning; Growth Plus $1,497 for 25,000; Scale $2,497 for 40,000. Billing is monthly only, with no setup fee. Voice minutes over your bucket cost $0.25 each and are billed automatically.
Only under conditions. The pricing page promises to refund every dollar if the AI fails, but the terms, read 15 October 2026, require that you sent at least 80% of your monthly messages through your approved flow within 30 days of carrier approval, and that the AI demonstrably failed at responding, following your flow, booking or disqualifying on a significant portion of conversations. SurFox verifies both from your logs. Ordinary cancellation gives no refund for a partial month.
Yes. SurFox counts every message in the conversation, your outbound texts and the lead's replies together, and says a conversation uses about 4 to 8 messages. Its founder told us the allowance counts messages, not SMS segments. So Starter's 1,000 messages is roughly 125 to 250 conversations a month, our arithmetic.
Yes. We tested SurFox AI ourselves on 2026-10-12; the section above says what we tested, what we found and what we did not test, and where a figure comes from the vendor's own documentation instead. Most of our reviews are researched rather than run; we say which is which. We name what each tool is good and bad at, and we earn a commission only if you sign up, at no cost to you.
