CloudTaskCloudTask Review (2026)

HR & PeopleResearched assessment · by Daniel HaketUpdated 2026-08-15

People tools are trust-critical: they touch pay, privacy and careers, so reliability and compliance outrank features. So where does CloudTask actually fit?

The honest bottom line. Worth it for companies hiring GTM roles — SDRs, BDRs and similar — who want LATAM talent without setting up their own payroll and compliance in another country, and who value the 24-month replacement guarantee. Skip it once you only need one hire ever, where Direct Hire's 30% one-time fee is cleaner than a subscription.

What CloudTask does

Managed marketplace for LATAM go-to-market hires — SDRs, BDRs and similar — with payroll and compliance handled. $299/month membership, plus an all-in monthly rate per hire that is not published. Direct Hire instead costs 30% of first-year salary.

Pricing (2026)

(2026-08-15, read on their own pricing page) Three models, all published. The Hiring Membership is $299/month with no contract and cancel-anytime, and when you hire, each team member is billed as a single all-in monthly rate covering salary, compliance, payroll and support — that rate is not published, and it is the number that matters. Direct Hire has no access fee and costs 30% of first-year salary as a one-time payment, with a 6-month replacement guarantee against 24 months on the membership. Graduating a managed hire onto your own payroll is a flat $7,500. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.

What the pricing page doesn’t say

The catch

The $299 is the honest part and also the small part. What you will actually spend is the all-in monthly rate per hire, and that figure appears nowhere on the pricing page — you get it after you talk to them, once you are already invested in the process. Work out before you start what a comparable LATAM salary is on your own, so you can see what the managed layer costs on top. The $7,500 graduation fee is worth reading twice too: it is the price of ending the arrangement while keeping the person, which is exactly the situation a good hire creates.

Best for: companies hiring GTM roles — SDRs, BDRs and similar — who want LATAM talent without setting up their own payroll and compliance in another country, and who value the 24-month replacement guarantee.

CloudTask vs Deel, side by side

Both columns come from the same place: each vendor’s own published pricing, read on the date shown in the sources at the foot of this page. We do not average them into a score.

Deel
What it costs
Per-worker pricing, demo-led: HR/hiring tools from $14 per worker/month; Contractors from $49 per contractor/month, or $325/month per Contractor of Record; US PEO from $125 per employee/month; EOR (Deel employs your international hire for you) from $599 per employee/month.
The catch
Every price is a ‘starting at’ and every button says ‘book a demo’ — the real bill depends on countries, benefits and add-ons, and only firms up in a sales conversation.
Best for
companies hiring internationally without local entities — contractors paid compliantly in 150+ countries, or full EOR employment where you need someone on the ground fast

The natural comparison is Deel — the comparison worth doing, because they solve overlapping problems from opposite ends. Deel publishes its floors and handles employment for people you already found; CloudTask finds the people and wraps employment around them, but does not publish the all-in rate. Decide by whether your bottleneck is sourcing or paperwork, then insist on the missing number. Decide by which one fits the job above, not by the louder brand.

Frequently asked questions

Is CloudTask compliant with local employment rules?

Compliance is country by country, so the honest answer is: only where the vendor says it is, and only for the entity type you actually have. Ask which countries are covered by its own entities versus a local partner, who carries the liability if something is filed wrong, and how changes in local law reach you. Get those answers in the contract rather than the sales deck.

Who should not use CloudTask?

Skip it if you only need one hire ever, where Direct Hire's 30% one-time fee is cleaner than a subscription; also skip it if you cannot get the all-in monthly rate in writing before you commit. Buying a tool to fix a problem you don't have yet just adds cost and another login to manage.

Work at CloudTask? Two things you can do here. Tell us anything this review gets wrong and we will correct it — we do that whether or not the correction flatters the product. And list CloudTask on our marketplace, free. To be upfront: our audience is still modest and the listing link is nofollow, so treat it as a bonus rather than a growth lever.
