TellentTellent Review (2026)

Operations & WorkflowResearched assessment · by Daniel HaketUpdated 2026-08-12

The best operations tools remove repetitive work quietly — the win is fewer dropped balls and less manual oversight, not more dashboards. So where does Tellent actually fit? Most people land here while weighing it against BambooHR, so that is the comparison this review keeps coming back to: does it do the job you actually need, without charging you for the parts you don't?

The honest bottom line. Worth it for European scale-ups hiring continuously that want a collaborative ATS with transparent per-module pricing. Skip it once you hire occasionally, or you want one all-in-one HR suite rather than modules.

What Tellent does

Modular people-management platform — applicant tracking (Recruitee), core HR and performance management with AI automation, for hiring and managing teams.

Pricing (2026)

Modular (2026): Recruitee ATS from about €270-292/mo (Start) and €343-371/mo (Advance), Optimize from ~€1,374/mo; HR Manage (HRIS) ~$111/mo and HR Grow (performance) ~$111/mo as separate modules. ~20% off annual; 18-day trial. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.

The honest knock

The modular pricing is honest — buy only the ATS, or only HRIS — but note the ATS floor: ~€270/mo prices it for teams that hire continuously, not for the company filling two roles a year. And as with every ATS, the workflow fit (approval chains, career-site needs, integrations with your assessment tools) matters more than the feature list; the 18-day trial is enough to run one real vacancy through it — do that.

What buyers report about Tellent

Recurring themes from GetApp, Capterra and Software Advice, read in August 2026. We have not run Tellent ourselves, so this is other buyers' experience rather than ours. We summarise it here because the complaints are usually the part a vendor page leaves out.

What they praise
  • 91% of 194 reviews are positive, and value for money is the recurring theme — a strong feature set at a price small businesses can carry.
  • 77% of reviewers are small businesses, so the reviews reflect the audience it is built for. 18-day free trial.
What they complain about
  • Login and mobile view get messy once you are recruiting for many roles at once — reviewers ask for a simpler, better-fitting interface.
  • One reviewer objects strongly to the pricing changes. Tellent's position is that new pricing applies to new customers and existing ones keep their plan and features — worth confirming in writing if you are already a customer.
  • From €270/month flat, which is a real commitment for occasional hiring.
Best for: European scale-ups hiring continuously that want a collaborative ATS (and optionally modular HRIS/performance) with transparent per-module pricing.

The natural comparison is Greenhouse or Personio — Greenhouse is the ATS benchmark at higher cost; Personio bundles HR-first — Tellent sits between on price with EU roots. Weigh it against BambooHR on the job you actually need done.

vs Greenhouse

My ex-banker filter is simple: does Tellent remove a real cost — time, errors, missed revenue — bigger than what it charges? If the job above is genuinely yours, it's worth a look. We never publish fake or “exclusive” prices, so always confirm the current plan on their site.

Frequently asked questions

Does Tellent replace my current setup or sit on top of it?

Usually it sits on top rather than replacing everything. Tools in this class tend to become the layer where work is tracked and handed off, while your existing systems stay the source of truth for their own data. Before you buy, map which tools it would replace outright and which it would merely sync with. If the answer is that it syncs with all of them, you are adding a layer rather than removing one.

Who should not use Tellent?

Skip it if you hire occasionally (job boards + a spreadsheet honestly suffice), or you want one all-in-one HR suite rather than modules. Buying a tool to fix a problem you don't have yet just adds cost and another login to manage.
