Marketing tools are judged on one thing: do they move pipeline — everything else is dashboard theatre. So where does SEO Space actually fit?
SEO tool built exclusively for Squarespace, delivered as a Chrome extension paired with a web dashboard. The extension runs inside the Squarespace editor and on live pages, scoring each page and saying in plain language what to change and where the setting lives; the dashboard adds site-wide audits, keyword rank tracking, backlink and competitor data, local SEO tools and scheduled white-label PDF client reports. Pricing is keyed to the number of websites rather than seats, which is why it suits freelancers and studios managing client sites. There is a genuinely usable free plan; paid starts at $18.99/month for one site.
(live checkout and homepage plan configuration, read 21 Jul 2026) Free plan at $0: Chrome extension, live-page scans and a site audit capped at 50 pages. Paid tiers are priced by number of websites, not seats, with a 7-day trial — Starter, 1 site, $18.99/mo ($151.92/yr); Pro, 3 sites, $49.99/mo ($399.92/yr); Expert, 5 sites, $74.99/mo ($599.99/yr); 10 sites $129.99/mo ($1,039.92/yr); 20 sites $219.99/mo ($1,759.92/yr); Unlimited by quote. Annual is eight times the monthly price, so it saves four months, not the five some copy suggests. Read the ladder carefully before you jump a tier: the 3-site Pro plan carries the same published limits as the 1-site Starter — 100 pages, 10 AI credits, 25 tracked keywords, monthly monitoring — so the extra $31 a month buys site slots, not capacity. Be aware the vendor's own FAQ still lists retired prices ($9.99 in one place, $14.99 in its refund section) that match nothing in the live checkout. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.
Squarespace has been quietly absorbing the job this tool was invented for. The platform's own SEO panel, checklist, sitemaps and structured data are free, its AI-suggested titles, descriptions and alt text are available on Fluid Engine 7.1, and on 7 July 2026 it announced AI Visibility — brand tracking across AI search — included on 7.1 plans with no extra subscription, though metered against plan-varying AI credits rather than unlimited. If you own a single Squarespace site, a large share of what you would pay $18.99 a month for is now a friendlier wrapper around something the platform already does. The tool earns its keep on volume and client work, not on one site. Note too that the tier ladder sells site slots rather than capacity: the 3-site plan has the same page, credit and keyword limits as the 1-site plan.
The natural comparison is Ahrefs or Semrush — SEO Space wins on translation, not data: it knows where each setting lives in the Squarespace editor, while Ahrefs and Semrush have vastly deeper indexes and cost several times more. Pick by whether your bottleneck is knowing what to fix or knowing where to fix it. Decide by which one fits the job above, not by the louder brand.
My ex-banker filter is simple: does SEO Space remove a real cost — time, errors, missed revenue — bigger than what it charges? If the job above is genuinely yours, it's worth a look. We never publish fake or “exclusive” prices, so always confirm the current plan on their site.
Usually yes for the major platforms, but check yours specifically. Tools in this class typically ship native connectors for the big CMS, CRM and email platforms and fall back on Zapier, webhooks or an API for everything else. The practical question is whether your stack is on the native list or needs glue, because a missing native connector normally means either manual work or a paid middleware layer. Check the integrations page for your exact tools before you buy.
Skip it if you run a single Squarespace 7.1 site and have no clients — Squarespace's own free SEO panel, AI-generated descriptions and AI Visibility now cover much of what you would be paying for, and the free plan here will tell you whether the paid layer adds anything for your site before you spend. Buying a tool to fix a problem you don't have yet just adds cost and another login to manage.
