Marketing tools are judged on whether they move something real — pipeline, reach or the cost of getting either — everything else is dashboard theatre. So where does Serpstat actually fit?
All-in-one SEO platform — keyword research, competitor analysis, rank tracking, site audit and backlink data — from $50/month on annual billing ($69 month-to-month), with a 7-day trial that takes a card and auto-renews.

(2026-07-24, read on their own pricing page) Four plans, and the page opens on the annual view — so the first number you see is not the month-to-month price. Individual $69/month, or $50 on annual billing. Team $129, or $100 annually. Team x2 $209, or $169. Agency $499, or $410. There is a hidden middle step: two dropdowns inside the Team column (position checks 50,000 or 99,999, API credits 200,000 or 400,000) move Team to $169/month monthly or $135 annually, so Team is really three price points. Seats are capped rather than sold: Individual is single-user, Team 3, Team x2 6, Agency 30, and no per-seat price is published anywhere — a fourth user means the next tier. The limits matter more than the prices: 100 searches a day on Individual (500 / 1,000 / 5,000 above it), export rows 50,000 a month, and no API at all on the entry plan. The 7-day trial takes a card, charges $1 to verify, turns on auto-renewal and bills the plan after seven days unless you cancel. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.

The thing you are actually buying is data coverage, and that is the one thing you cannot verify — Serpstat's own published figures do not agree with each other. Re-read on 24 July 2026, their homepage says 529 billion backlinks, their data hub says 1.1 trillion, and their backlinks page says 1.7 trillion in the prose while its own spec block on that same page says 1.1 trillion. The keyword count reads 8.62 billion on one page and 7.46 billion on another. That is not evidence the data is thin; it is evidence that these numbers cannot serve as a basis for your decision. Judge it on your own searches during the trial instead. Two other things to weigh: backlink reports are capped at 10,000 results per report on Team, Team x2 and Agency alike, so paying from $129 to $499 buys more of everything except a deeper backlink report; and 'maximum pages to scan' in a single crawl (5,000 / 25,000 / 50,000) is a far smaller number than the monthly 'pages to audit' allowance it sits next to.
Individual at $69 monthly (or $50 annually) is a genuine working plan for one person, but two ceilings decide whether it holds: 100 searches a day, and no API access at all. If either binds you, the floor is Team at $129 monthly — that is where the API, unlimited projects and JavaScript rendering in the site audit start. Watch the middle step there: two dropdowns inside Team (more position checks, more API credits) push it to $169 monthly, which is within $40 of Team x2 at $209, so price the upgrade you actually need against the next tier before you pick. Above that it is mostly volume: Team x2 doubles the seats to six, Agency takes you to thirty. What no tier fixes is the backlink report ceiling of 10,000 rows, identical on Team, Team x2 and Agency.
Treat the trial as a subscription with a seven-day escape hatch, not as a free look: Serpstat's own FAQ says it takes a card, charges $1 to verify and returns it within 5 to 30 minutes, turns on auto-renewal when the trial starts, and bills the plan automatically after seven days unless you cancel. Put that date in your calendar before you do anything else. Then spend the week on the only question that matters: run your own keywords, in your own country, and compare what comes back against what you already know to be true — that tells you more than any published database size, especially given those figures contradict each other. Watch the daily search counter while you do it; on Individual it stops at 100 a day, which is easy to hit in an afternoon of research and is the limit most likely to force you up a tier. The natural comparison is SE Ranking — the closest self-serve rival on price and scope — both sell the full workflow well under what the incumbents charge, so the decision comes down to which one's data holds up on your own market and how each counts its limits. Compare the units carefully: a daily allowance and a monthly stock are not the same number, and both vendors mix them. Verify both current price lists yourself.. Decide by which one fits the job above, not by the louder brand.
My ex-banker filter is simple: does Serpstat remove a real cost — time, errors, missed revenue — bigger than what it charges? If the job above is genuinely yours, it's worth a look. We never publish fake or “exclusive” prices, so always confirm the current plan on their site.
Usually yes for the major platforms, but check yours specifically. Tools in this class typically ship native connectors for the big CMS, CRM and email platforms and fall back on Zapier, webhooks or an API for everything else. The practical question is whether your stack is on the native list or needs glue, because a missing native connector normally means either manual work or a paid middleware layer. Check the integrations page for your exact tools before you buy.
Skip it if your work depends on deep backlink analysis, since the 10,000 results per report ceiling does not move no matter which tier you buy; or you need more than three seats, because seats are not sold separately and the next tier roughly doubles the bill. Buying a tool to fix a problem you don't have yet just adds cost and another login to manage.
