FreshworksFreshworks Review (2026)

Customer SupportResearched assessment · by Daniel HaketUpdated 2026-08-01

The IT and productivity layer is where small, reliable tools quietly give you hours back — or, done wrong, add another login to babysit. So where does Freshworks actually fit?

The honest bottom line. Worth it for teams who want a support desk that is cheaper per agent than the category leaders and will genuinely use the annual commitment — Growth at $19 is real value if ticketing is all you need. Skip it once you want the AI-first product the marketing describes without doing the arithmetic.

What Freshworks does

Suite of separately-sold products: Freshdesk support, Freshservice IT, Freshsales CRM, Freshchat and Freshcaller.

Pricing (2026)

(2026-08-01, read on their own pricing pages) The main Freshworks pricing page carries no prices at all — it lists the products and links out to each one. On Freshdesk: Growth $19 per agent per month, Pro $55, Enterprise $89, all requiring annual billing, with a stated 20% annual saving and no monthly rate shown. Freddy AI Agent is included with the first 500 sessions. Freddy AI Copilot is a separate add-on at $29 per agent per month on Pro and Enterprise. Freshservice, Freshsales, Freshchat and Freshcaller are separate subscriptions with their own pricing pages. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.

The honest knock

Freshworks is not a product, it is five of them, and the page you land on when you search for its price does not contain a price. Once you find Freshdesk's own page, two things sit on top of the number: the listed rates require an annual commitment, and Freddy AI Copilot — the AI the marketing leads with — is $29 per agent per month extra, which is 53% on top of a Pro seat. The Freddy AI Agent that is included stops after 500 sessions, with no published rate for what comes next. If you want support and IT and CRM, price three subscriptions, not one.

Best for: teams who want a support desk that is cheaper per agent than the category leaders and will genuinely use the annual commitment — Growth at $19 is real value if ticketing is all you need.

The natural comparison is Zendesk or Zoho Desk — the standing comparison — price all three with the AI add-on switched on, because that is where they separate. Decide by which one fits the job above, not by the louder brand.

My ex-banker filter is simple: does Freshworks remove a real cost — time, errors, missed revenue — bigger than what it charges? If the job above is genuinely yours, it's worth a look. We never publish fake or “exclusive” prices, so always confirm the current plan on their site.

Frequently asked questions

Is Freshworks secure and reliable enough to depend on?

Judge it on evidence rather than adjectives. Look for a published security page, single sign-on and role controls on the plan you would actually buy (they are often gated to higher tiers), a status page with real incident history, and a clear answer on where your data is stored. If the tool will hold anything sensitive, those four answers matter more than any feature comparison.

Who should not use Freshworks?

Skip it if you want the AI-first product the marketing describes without doing the arithmetic, because that configuration is $55 plus $29 an agent; also skip it if you need month-to-month, since the published prices assume a year. Buying a tool to fix a problem you don't have yet just adds cost and another login to manage.

Work at Freshworks? Two things you can do here. Tell us anything this review gets wrong and we will correct it — we do that whether or not the correction flatters the product. And list Freshworks on our marketplace, free. To be upfront: our audience is still modest and the listing link is nofollow, so treat it as a bonus rather than a growth lever.
