One plan, called Operator, at $129 a month or $1,299 a year — the listing puts the annual saving at 16% — billed in USD every 30 days, with a 7-day free trial and no free tier. Everything sits in that single plan: a drag-and-drop KPI dashboard, KPI tiles carrying several metrics at once, cross-system data comparisons, analysis of Meta Ads, Google Ads and GA4, financial insight from QuickBooks Online, proactive risk and growth alerts, a monthly management review and scenario modelling.
The identical plan is sold directly by the vendor under a different brand: pactai.app, read the same day, prices GrowGiant Operator at $149 a month or $1,499 a year, and its trial is paid — $49 for 14 days — rather than free. The App Store is the cheaper of the two doors into the same product, by $20 a month, $200 a year and the whole of that $49. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.

The App Store listing was headed Helm: Business Radar on the morning of 16 September 2026 and GrowGiant by that evening, with Helm still named as the developer; the vendor's own site at pactai.app has called the product GrowGiant throughout; the entity in the terms is PactAI, LLC of Texas; and the application itself runs at helm.pactai.app. The site's own headline still reads “Helm helps you get there” above a page that says GrowGiant everywhere else.
That is a rebrand caught in mid-air rather than anything sinister, but it means the name you buy is not the name you will be supported under, and there is almost nothing to search for before you commit. The prices have not been reconciled either. The Shopify listing says $129 a month and $1,299 a year with a free 7-day trial. pactai.app says $149 a month and $1,499 a year, with a paid 14-day trial at $49.
The security page on that same site invites you to “Start Free — No Card”. Three surfaces belonging to one vendor, three different offers for one plan, all read on 16 September 2026. Go in through the App Store: it is the cheapest of the three and the only one whose trial costs nothing. The evidence base is the real problem. The app was listed on 7 September 2026 and on 16 September it stands at 0.0 from zero reviews, so nothing here has been checked by anyone outside the company — ourselves included.
Everything above is what the vendor publishes about itself. At the monthly rate that is $1,548 a year taken on trust, and the two figures the site leads with are its own: a “$20k to $80k a month” mission at a named store, and “~$38,000 in annual profit leakage identified for one connected business”. To its credit the site labels the first a goal in progress rather than a result, and says plainly that the SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001 certifications on its security page belong to Supabase and AWS rather than to GrowGiant.
That is more candour than this category usually offers. It is still not evidence. One last tension worth naming. The product is sold as “The AI Chief Executive Officer that guides planning and execution across your entire business”, and clause 7 of its own terms states that AI can be wrong and that reviewing the output before you rely on it for business, financial, legal or tax decisions is your job.
Both statements are fair. They describe very different products, and the second one is the contract.
Shopify business-intelligence app — sold on the vendor's own site under the GrowGiant brand, by PactAI, LLC of Texas — that reads Shopify, QuickBooks Online, Meta Ads, Google Ads and GA4 together and flags what is costing money: discount and pricing drift, unexplained cost movements, inventory risk, ad performance deteriorating beyond normal variation, and sales anomalies against day, week, month and last year. Adds a drag-and-drop KPI dashboard, scenario modelling and a recurring management review. One plan, Operator, at $129 a month or $1,299 a year through the App Store with a 7-day free trial, against $149 and $1,499 bought direct. Integrations are read-only; the listing requests view permissions only. Launched 7 September 2026, still no reviews as of 16 Sep 2026.

Nothing, and we would rather say so than fill the space. We looked for independent user reviews of Helm (GrowGiant) on the buyer-review sites listed at the foot of this page, read in September 2026, and found none at all. That points to a young product rather than a badly reviewed one, but it does mean there is no crowd verdict to weigh: judge Helm (GrowGiant) on your own trial, not on anyone's score.
There is only one plan, so the usual upgrade question is replaced by a stranger one: which of the vendor's own shop windows you buy it from. Through the Shopify App Store, Operator is $129 a month, or $1,299 a year with the listing's stated 16% saving — an effective $108.25 a month on the annual rate. On the vendor's own site the identical Operator plan is $149 a month or $1,499 a year, and pactai.app does that arithmetic out loud: $124.92 a month billed annually, saving $289 a year against paying monthly.
Same plan, same feature list, $20 a month apart. The trial differs in the same direction. The App Store gives you 7 days free. pactai.app charges $49 for a 14-day “GrowGiant Experience”. The security page on that same site says “Start Free — No Card”. All three were live on 16 September 2026. So the decision here is not which tier but which route, and the App Store wins on both counts: $240 a year cheaper at the monthly rate, $200 cheaper on the annual one, and a trial that costs nothing rather than $49.
The single thing the direct route buys is twice the trial length. If a week genuinely is not enough to judge it, $49 for the second week is the trade — but you would be paying that to evaluate an app nobody has reviewed yet. What neither route buys is a second opinion. The whole case for spending $1,548 a year rests on the vendor's own description of what it will find, and the only way to test that is to connect your systems and watch it for a week.
Install from the Shopify App Store rather than from pactai.app: same plan, $20 a month less, and a free trial instead of a $49 one. Connect QuickBooks Online and the ad platforms before you judge anything. The case for this app rests on reading Shopify, Meta Ads, Google Ads, GA4 and QuickBooks against each other; connect Shopify alone and you are paying $129 for a dashboard over data you already have.
If you cannot get at least the ad platforms connected in the first day or two, a 7-day trial will not tell you much. Check what it can reach, because here the vendor's claim is checkable. The listing's data-access section asks to view customers, products, orders and discounts, plus device and activity data and the store owner's record — view only, with no edit or write permission requested anywhere. That matches the read-only guarantee on pactai.app/security, and it is a narrower ask than most apps in this category make.
It is the one vendor claim you can verify from an independent surface before you install. Know the exit before you take the entrance. The terms give a 90-day grace period after cancellation before integration data is permanently deleted, earlier on request to admin@pactai.app; cancelling stops renewals but does not refund the period you are in; price changes carry 30 days' notice; governing law is Texas and liability is capped at the fees of the preceding twelve months.
And treat the output as a draft. Clause 7 of the terms is explicit that the AI can be wrong and that checking it before acting is your responsibility — so the monthly management review is a memo to read critically, not a decision to execute.
Distilled from apps.shopify.com/helm, read in a live browser on 16 September 2026: the Operator plan at $129 a month or $1,299 a year with the stated 16% annual saving and the 7-day free trial, the full feature list, the Analytics category, the integration list (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta Ads, QuickBooks Online), the data-access section (view-only on customers, products, orders and discounts, plus device and activity data and the store owner), the developer record (Helm, Dallas, TX), the 7 September 2026 launch date and the 0.0 rating from zero reviews. The vendor's own site was reached through the privacy-policy link on that listing and read the same day: pactai.app for the GrowGiant brand, the five-step operating loop, the Radar monitoring list, the marketing-intelligence and dashboard sections, the $20k-to-$80k mission at a named store that the page labels a goal in progress rather than a result, the ~$38,000 profit-leakage figure, and the pricing block giving $149 a month, $1,499 a year, $124.92 a month billed annually and the $49 14-day trial; pactai.app/security for the read-only integration guarantee, TLS 1.3 and AES-256, the Supabase-on-AWS hosting with SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001 explicitly attributed to those providers rather than to GrowGiant, PostgreSQL row-level isolation, the no-AI-training statement and the “Start Free — No Card” call to action; and pactai.app/terms for the entity PactAI, LLC, clause 4 on billing and 30 days' notice of price changes, clause 5 on the 90-day retention window after cancellation, clause 7 on AI output, clause 11 on liability capped at twelve months of fees and clause 13 on Texas law. No independent reviews existed to read.
Both columns come from the same place: each vendor’s own published pricing, read on the date shown in the sources at the foot of this page. We do not average them into a score.
The Selixer link above is an affiliate link — we may earn a commission if you sign up, at no extra cost to you — and the other column is a plain link. Neither changes what this table says: both columns come straight from the vendors’ own pricing pages.
The natural comparison is Selixer, EcomXray — All three read your own Shopify data back to you, and the honest split is price against evidence. Our own dossiers have Selixer at $149 a month for Essence (re-verified 10 September 2026): two seats, one connected ad platform, a year of history, the ad dashboard, stock health views and 500 AI credits, climbing to $299 and $399 for more ad platforms, the full True Profit waterfall and multi-touch attribution. Helm's single Operator plan is $129 through the App Store and covers Meta, Google Ads, GA4 and QuickBooks together, with no seat or platform cap published — on paper, more coverage for less money. What Selixer has that Helm does not is a record you can look up before you pay. At the other end, EcomXray is free for cost price, gross margin and net units sold over 30, 90 and 365 days, with a $29 Pro tier (re-verified 8 September 2026). If what you actually need is to know which products make money, that is the honest floor of this category, and $1,548 a year buys a great deal of analysis you may never act on. Try them cheapest first: EcomXray free, then Helm's free 7-day trial, then Selixer..

The ex-banker filter — the same yardstick on every review (how we review): My ex-banker filter is simple: does Helm (GrowGiant) remove a real cost — time, errors, missed revenue — bigger than what it charges?
One plan, called Operator, and the price depends on which of the vendor's own doors you walk through. On the Shopify App Store listing, read 16 September 2026, it is $129 a month or $1,299 a year with a stated 16% annual saving, billed in USD every 30 days, with a 7-day free trial and no free tier. The identical plan sold directly on pactai.app, read the same day, is $149 a month or $1,499 a year, and its trial is not free: $49 for 14 days. Same feature list, same product, $20 a month and $200 a year apart, with a free week on one side and a $49 fortnight on the other. Install from the App Store. The only thing the direct route buys you is twice the trial length.
Because a rebrand is happening while the app is on sale, and on 16 September 2026 it moved again during the day. That morning the App Store listing was headed Helm: Business Radar; by the evening of the same day the same listing read GrowGiant, with Helm still named as the developer. The vendor's site at pactai.app has called the product GrowGiant throughout, the entity in the terms is PactAI, LLC of Texas, and the application itself runs at helm.pactai.app. Nothing here suggests bad faith, but it has two practical consequences: the name you buy under is not the name you will be supported under, and there is almost nothing to search for before you commit.
No, and that is the single most important fact on this page. Read on 16 September 2026, the App Store listing shows 0.0 from zero reviews, on an app that was listed on 7 September 2026. Every claim about what it will find in your data is the vendor's own. The site's two headline figures are its own too: a “$20k to $80k a month” mission at a named store, which the page itself labels a goal in progress rather than a result, and “~$38,000 in annual profit leakage identified for one connected business”. To its credit the vendor states plainly that the SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001 certifications on its security page belong to Supabase and AWS rather than to itself, and clause 7 of its terms says the AI can be wrong and that checking it before you rely on it is your job. That is unusual candour. It is still not evidence, and $129 a month is $1,548 a year taken on trust.
Judge it on evidence rather than adjectives. Look for a published security page, single sign-on and role controls on the plan you would actually buy (they are often gated to higher tiers), a status page with real incident history, and a clear answer on where your data is stored. If the tool will hold anything sensitive, those four answers matter more than any feature comparison.
