Two honest limits: it's pricier than alternatives with thin mid-tier options, and several users report slow customer service (sometimes a week or more to reply). It really only pays off at scale — solo or tiny practices get more value, more simply, elsewhere. Throughout this review we weigh it against SimplePractice.

The entry tier is far lower than most summaries suggest: Core is $19.99/mo billed monthly or $18 billed yearly, Essentials $49.99 or $45, Plus $129.99 or $115, and Group $149.99+ or $135+ per month. Enterprise scales above that. Two costs sit outside the tier and matter for a practice: additional team members are $50 per clinician per month, and the ClaimMD billing integration starts at $30 a month.
There is a 14-day free trial, and full API access sits above the standard group tier. The same page, read 28 September 2026, offers the 14-day trial on the Plus plan, lists DoseSpot ePrescribing at $40 per clinician a month with no setup fee, card payments at 2.9% + $0.30 and API access as an add-on with additional fees. It is not consistent on one add-on: the plan table puts ClaimMD at from $30 a month, while the integrations section describes it as from $25 a month plus a $50-$100 setup fee. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.

We capture Healthie’s own pricing page every month and keep the figures, so this is our record of the page — not a forecast, and not someone else’s summary.
Healthie's ladder did not move this summer. Our July and August 2026 captures are identical, both carrying $19 and $49 monthly with $18 and $45 yearly, $129 and $149+ for the upper tiers, and the same $50 per clinician and $30 ClaimMD line. The page returned those figures on 17 August 2026. Three readings, no change — but note our own earlier description started the range at about $49, which skipped the $19.99 tier entirely. A fourth reading on 28 September 2026 returned the same ladder: $19.99, $49.99, $129.99 and $149.99+ monthly, $18, $45, $115 and $135+ yearly, and $50 per added clinician.

What buyers report about Healthie
Recurring themes from the buyer-review sites listed at the foot of this page, read in August 2026. We have not run Healthie ourselves, so this is other buyers' experience rather than ours. We summarise it here because the complaints are usually the part a vendor page leaves out.
- • Practitioners get started fast — the interface and the tutorial videos are what reviewers name first.
- • Support is called proactive, which is rare in clinical software.
- • The strongest negative reviews are from providers, and they are specific: billing problems, bugs they end up explaining to their own patients, and charting that spills outside the working day. If you are a solo provider, read those before you commit.
- • You cannot schedule a follow-up from inside a telehealth call — the calendar is not reachable during the session.
- • Calendar customisation is limited, and client packages cannot be posted without pricing details.
- • Implementation cost is the barrier reviewers name for smaller clinics.
When the paid plan is worth it
Healthie has no free tier, so the question is which paid step you need. Core at $19.99 a month caps you at 10 active clients, and archived clients do not count against that, so a low-volume practice that closes files as it goes can stay there. The cap is soft on an externally linked calendar or package: a 10th client can still book or buy, and you are notified that the account moves up a level unless you archive back under the limit.
Essentials at $49.99 raises the ceiling to 250 active clients and adds custom form building, CMS 1500s and data transfer support. Plus at $129.99 removes the cap and adds group telehealth and online programs, so it earns its keep only if you run groups. Group starts at $149.99 and then adds $50 per clinician per month, so the headline understates a multi-provider practice. Annual billing takes 10% off. Upgrading does not fix the payment cut, since Stripe takes 2.9% plus $0.30 at every tier.
ePrescribing through DoseSpot is a separate $40 per clinician per month. Outside Enterprise, Healthie imports patient demographic data only, so no tier buys you a full chart migration.

How to actually use Healthie
Signup gets you 14 days on the Plus plan with no credit card, so the trial exposes features most people will not have on the tier they actually buy. Set the account up in the web app, not the mobile app. Before an import Healthie tells you to set up intake forms and intake flow, appointment types, and calendar and availability first. Add a test client with a second email address, since it cannot be the same as your provider email.
Clients cannot self-register at all; they only get in through an invite, your unique link, or a package purchase or appointment booking from your website. The two places people stall are the calendar and billing. Calendar setup alone runs seven steps and over 35 settings. Billing needs a linked bank account before a package can take money. Migration is not a self-serve upload either: you file an Imports Questionnaire and Healthie runs a one-time import for you as part of implementation.

The Group tier starts at $149.99 a month ($135 yearly), and then each additional clinician is $50 a month on top. A five-clinician practice is therefore the tier plus four times $50, so about $350 a month yearly-billed — work from the clinician count, not the tier price.
Which add-ons should I budget for?
Two in particular: the ClaimMD integration for insurance billing starts at $30 a month, and extra clinicians are $50 each. Full API access sits above the standard group tier, so if you plan to build against Healthie, check which tier unlocks it before pricing the project.
What should I weigh before buying Operations & Workflow software?
Usually it sits on top rather than replacing everything. Tools in this class tend to become the layer where work is tracked and handed off, while your existing systems stay the source of truth for their own data. Before you buy, map which tools it would replace outright and which it would merely sync with. If the answer is that it syncs with all of them, you are adding a layer rather than removing one.
