BoulevardBoulevard Review (2026)

Business OperationsResearched assessment · by Daniel HaketUpdated 2026-08-01

The IT and productivity layer is where small, reliable tools quietly give you hours back — or, done wrong, add another login to babysit. So where does Boulevard actually fit?

The honest bottom line. Worth it for salons, spas and clinics with staff to schedule and a front desk to run. Skip it once you are a solo practitioner with a calendar and a card reader.

What Boulevard does

Booking, point of sale and client management for salons, spas and self-care businesses.

Pricing (2026)

(2026-08-01, read on their own pricing page) Priced per location per month: Essentials $140 (shown as discounted from $176), Premier $234 (from $293), Prestige $328 (from $410). Enterprise is a bespoke quote. Paid add-ons sit on top, also per location — the page lists items at $45 and $65 per month per location, ePrescribe at $45 per prescriber, and email marketing at $0.01 per email beyond the included allowance. Every tier's button is 'Get a demo': there is no self-serve checkout at any price. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.

The honest knock

Two things about this price list. It is per location, so the arithmetic for a second salon is not a volume discount, it is double — and the add-ons are per location too, which compounds it. And every listed price is shown struck through against a higher 'normally' figure, which is a permanent discount rather than an offer; treat the higher number as the list price you may be quoted and the lower one as what you should expect to negotiate to. The third thing is not a price at all: you cannot buy this without booking a demo. That is a signal about how the deal is done, and it means the published numbers are a starting point rather than a checkout.

Best for: salons, spas and clinics with staff to schedule and a front desk to run — the per-location pricing works out fine for one busy site.

The natural comparison is Mindbody or Vagaro — the standing comparison in salon and spa software — compare per-location totals with your add-ons switched on, not the entry sticker. Decide by which one fits the job above, not by the louder brand.

My ex-banker filter is simple: does Boulevard remove a real cost — time, errors, missed revenue — bigger than what it charges? If the job above is genuinely yours, it's worth a look. We never publish fake or “exclusive” prices, so always confirm the current plan on their site.

Frequently asked questions

Is Boulevard secure and reliable enough to depend on?

Judge it on evidence rather than adjectives. Look for a published security page, single sign-on and role controls on the plan you would actually buy (they are often gated to higher tiers), a status page with real incident history, and a clear answer on where your data is stored. If the tool will hold anything sensitive, those four answers matter more than any feature comparison.

Who should not use Boulevard?

Skip it if you are a solo practitioner with a calendar and a card reader, because the entry tier at $140 a month is priced for a team, and multi-location owners should price the add-ons per site before comparing. Buying a tool to fix a problem you don't have yet just adds cost and another login to manage.
