What the pricing page doesn’t say
The category claim (AI catches what filters miss) is plausible — Microsoft/Google native filtering misses sophisticated BEC — but any vendor's accuracy percentage is measured on their own test set, not your mail flow. The honest procurement move: run their trial alongside your current filtering, count real catches and false positives for two weeks, and price per mailbox against the incumbents with that data in hand.
What buyers report about Sentaro
Recurring themes from software-directory reviews, read in August 2026. We have not run Sentaro ourselves, so this is other buyers' experience rather than ours. We summarise it here because the complaints are usually the part a vendor page leaves out.
- • $6 per protected account per month with no MX or DNS change required — it layers onto Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 rather than sitting in front of your mail flow.
- • Purchases through Paddle carry a full refund within 14 days, which is a real guarantee rather than a policy page.
- • The independent review base is very thin. There is not enough outside evidence here to lean on, so trial it against your own inbound mail.
- • Being a layer rather than a gateway is a design choice with trade-offs — it cannot block before delivery the way an MX-level filter can. Judge it on what it catches after arrival.
The natural comparison is IRONSCALES or Abnormal — the established API-based email-security players — compare detected-in-YOUR-inbox counts from parallel trials, not brochure accuracy. Decide by which one fits the job above, not by the louder brand.
My ex-banker filter is simple: does Sentaro remove a real cost — time, errors, missed revenue — bigger than what it charges? If the job above is genuinely yours, it's worth a look. We never publish fake or “exclusive” prices, so always confirm the current plan on their site.

Is Sentaro secure and reliable enough to depend on?
Judge it on evidence rather than adjectives. Look for a published security page, single sign-on and role controls on the plan you would actually buy (they are often gated to higher tiers), a status page with real incident history, and a clear answer on where your data is stored. If the tool will hold anything sensitive, those four answers matter more than any feature comparison.
Who should not use Sentaro?
Skip it if you already run a mature email-security stack (Ironscales/Abnormal-class), or nobody internally will review the flagged-mail queue. Buying a tool to fix a problem you don't have yet just adds cost and another login to manage.
