Replit Pricing in 2026

PricingResearched assessment · by Daniel HaketUpdated 2026-08-02

Replit publishes four tiers, and the tier price is the part everyone quotes. It is also the part that matters least, because the Agent bills separately for what it does. Here is both halves.

The half nobody quotes

Effort-based billing

In 2026 Replit moved to effort-based pricing: the Agent decides what a task costs and you find out after it finishes. That reached existing Core and Teams subscribers from 1 July 2026 — if you signed up before that, check which basis you are on.

Despite the effort-based framing, documented bills show fixed per-checkpoint rates. One billing period recorded 632 Agent checkpoints at $0.25 and 965 Assistant checkpoints at $0.05 — $206.25 in checkpoints alone, on top of the plan. Another reviewer was charged roughly $9,600 across June and July 2026.

Read that arithmetic the other way and it is useful: at $0.25 a checkpoint, your $25 of Core credits is about 100 Agent checkpoints a month. If a single feature takes twenty, that is five features. Budget against checkpoints, not against the $20.

What makes the meter run

Three things drive checkpoint count, and all three are within your control:
