The backbone of my digital freedom

I am incredibly happy with Hostinger. It's the quiet, invisible backbone of my whole business. Everything I build — the websites, the domain names, the email addresses for both aibuildermarketplace.com and theweeklyaiedge.com — sits safely on their platform.

But I don't use standard shared hosting. For building and looking after my sites I use a Hostinger VPS (a Virtual Private Server). If that sounds a bit technical, just think of it as my own private computer in the cloud that never switches off.

The way I use it is honestly pretty relaxed. Instead of spending months learning how to write complicated code, I let tools like Claude Code and Gemini write the code for me. Then I simply paste that code into the server terminal on my Hostinger VPS. It's a few clicks, and it just works beautifully.

Meet Victor: my autonomous AI employee

Inside my Hostinger VPS lives a custom AI agent I built, named Victor. Think of Victor as my highly efficient, full-time employee who never sleeps.

While I'm away from my desk, enjoying life in Saigon, Victor works quietly in the background. His job is to look after the foundational content for all our affiliate sites — automatically generating and formatting directories in 35 different languages.

My own day-to-day is mostly about human connection and strategy. I focus on bringing in new partnerships and finding great AI platforms to connect with. Once I get a new partner link, I use Claude or Gemini to work out how it should fit onto the sites, drop it into the server, and Victor takes care of the rest. That bit of automation leaves me free to do what I actually love: writing the warm, personal review articles for the tools I test and trust myself.

From Hostinger's OpenClaw to a custom setup

When I first started exploring all this, I used Hostinger's built-in OpenClaw feature. It was incredibly easy to set up, and it taught me so much about how to work alongside an AI assistant. It was the perfect playground.

But as the business grew, I wanted something completely tailored to my own family-first way of working. So, using Claude Code, I decided to build my own custom agent from scratch. Now that agent is fully tuned to run and support my websites inside the Hostinger VPS environment.

How It Reclaimed My Time & Peace of Mind

The real magic of a Hostinger VPS combined with an AI agent is that it lets me work from absolutely anywhere in the world. Whether I'm sitting at my desk or out exploring with my family, I can manage my entire network from my laptop. It genuinely feels like running a company with a whole team of employees — except it's just me, Hostinger, and Victor.

This setup has completely broken the old corporate rat race for me. It lets me step away from the stressful, repetitive parts of running a business and focus entirely on the fun, creative side of building something. And most importantly, it gives me my days back — to spend time with my wonderful family, watch my children grow, and enjoy beautiful moments together that would otherwise fly right past us.

With Hostinger I've seen incredibly fast results, and they've proven to be a truly reliable partner. They keep rolling out new specs and features — honestly, there's so much power under the hood that I haven't even used half of it yet. If you want to build a business that buys back your time instead of eating it up, this is where you start.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know how to code to use a Hostinger VPS?

Not really. I don't write the code myself — I let tools like Claude Code and Gemini write it, then paste it into the VPS terminal. The VPS gives you the always-on private space to actually run it.

What's the difference between a VPS and normal shared hosting?

Shared hosting is fine for a simple site, but a VPS is like having your own private computer in the cloud that never turns off. That's what lets me run a custom AI agent like Victor around the clock.

What is OpenClaw?

It's Hostinger's built-in way to get an AI assistant going quickly. I started there — it's a lovely, low-pressure playground — before building my own custom agent on top of the VPS.

Can it really handle a multi-language site?

Yes. On my setup Victor automatically generates and formats directories in 35 languages, all hosted on the one VPS. There's far more capacity than I currently use.
